I’m nearing the end of my evaluation of Utah running back Zack Moss, so I figured I would open up my film session to viewers. This will give you a good idea of Moss the prospect, but also my process as an evaluator. You will see and hear different things I look for when scouting running backs. Maybe you don’t fully agree with my process or how I may view the prospect or specific play, but the evaluation is transparent. Without the transparency of an evaluator, without the evaluator outlining his reasoning or details how do you know that person is properly evaluating a player? Hopefully, these live sessions help you as an evaluator but also some of the good and bad of Moss.

In the first film session, the game against California, Moss carried the rock 17 times for 105 yards and two touchdowns. It was his best receiving day of the year, one where he caught three passes for 89 yards. He showed that not only could he run the rock but that he could be QB friendly.
